Support from Families of Political Prisoners and Executed Individuals for Saeed Masouri:

No to Exile and Abduction, No to Execution

A group of families of political prisoners and executed individuals has issued a statement condemning the attempt to exile of Saeed Masouri to Zahedan Prison. Expressing their pain and anger, they reacted to the unjust and sudden transfer of Saeed Masouri—one of Iran’s longest-serving and most resilient political prisoners—calling it a blatant attempt to increase pressure on him and break his will. A part of the statement reads:

“Saeed Masouri, who has stood firm with dignity and a clear voice for 25 years in the prisons of the Islamic Republic, is now to be exiled to Zahedan Prison—a place designed not for justice but for the gradual elimination and silencing of resistance.”

The justice-seeking families warn, referencing the grim fate of many political prisoners—including Ali Younesi, who was similarly abducted—that this transfer is another step in the regime’s policy of repression and intimidation. They ask:

“Is the government trying to silently extinguish the voice of resistance one by one through secretive relocations?”

Solidarity with the “No to Executions Tuesdays” Campaign

These families, while condemning this illegal and inhumane efforts, declare their full solidarity with the “No to Executions Tuesdays” campaign—a movement that in recent months has echoed the voices of protesting prisoners and people across 48 prisons in the country. They emphasize that this protest movement is one of the only remaining paths to resist the machinery of death and repression, and it must be sustained and expanded with broader participation from people inside and outside Iran.

In conclusion, the signatories of the statement remind the public that silence in the face of efforts to exile Saeed Masouri —and of other resistant prisoners—means accepting the cycle of crime. They declare:

“We will shout: No to execution, no to abduction and exile. Political prisoners must be freed.”

Statement from Families of Political Prisoners and Executed Individuals Condemning the Exile of Political Prisoner Saeed Masouri and Supporting the ‘No to Executions Tuesdays’ Campaign

We, a group of families of political prisoners and those who have been executed, with deep concern and hearts full of pain, strongly condemn the sudden efforts to exile Saeed Masouri—one of the longest-serving and most resilient political prisoners in Iran—to Zahedan Prison.

Saeed Masouri, who has stood with unyielding strength and a clear voice for 25 years in the prisons of the Islamic Republic, is now being sent to Zahedan Prison—a facility known for its harsh and brutal conditions, effectively a place of exile designed to silence and gradually eliminate defiant prisoners.

Previously, Ali Younesi, a brilliant and imprisoned student, was similarly abducted—and to this day, no one knows where he is. Is it now Saeed Masouri’s turn? Is the regime attempting to quietly extinguish voices of resistance one by one through unanswered, secret relocations?

We are all too familiar with these secretive and terrorizing scenarios. For years, we have paid their price with the lives of our loved ones. But we will not allow this cycle of repression to go unchallenged.

In this spirit, we—bereaved and justice-seeking families—while condemning the exile of Mr. Saeed Masouri, announce our full solidarity with the “No to Executions Tuesdays” campaign.

This campaign is the voice of those who refuse to accept death—who still cry out for life, justice, and freedom. We call on all families of political prisoners, social activists, and people with a conscience to expand this campaign—on the streets, in front of prisons, in public spaces, and beyond.

“No to Executions Tuesdays” is not just a protest plan;
It is a message to the regime: We will not silently watch these crimes.

We rise from grief and mourning, yet we still stand tall.
For Saeed Masouri, for Ali Younesi, for all the nameless ones whose voices are stifled behind bars—we will cry out:

No to execution
No to abduction and exile
Political prisoners must be freed.
