In the 109th week of their activities, members of the “No to Execution Tuesdays” campaign, expanding the scope of their protests to 56 prisons across the country, once again went on hunger strike to condemn the issuance and implementation of death sentences. While expressing solidarity with university students and the families of the victims of the uprising of Dey 1404 (January 2026), these prisoners warned of a five-fold increase in execution statistics over the past month and the issuance of death sentences for detained protesters. Emphasizing the critical conditions in prisons and the deprivation of defendants of fair trials, activists of this campaign called on international bodies to take immediate action to halt the killing machine and save the lives of the condemned.

Continuation of the “No to Execution Tuesdays” Campaign in its 109th Week in 56 Different Prisons
The 40th-day commemoration ceremonies for the victims of the uprising of Dey 1404, held in various parts of the country, became a symbol of the continuation of the uprising and public solidarity. These gatherings, accompanied by anti-government slogans and the rejection of dictatorship, demonstrated that the memory and names of the victims of repression have transformed into an inspiring force for realizing the overthrow [of the regime] and establishing justice, freedom, and equality.
We, the members of the “No to Execution Tuesdays” campaign, in alignment with the people of Iran and the families of the slain, declare our solidarity with them and send our salutations to students from Sharif, Tehran, Amirkabir, Art, and National (Melli) universities to the University of Mashhad. To those who courageously stand against the oppressors in the universities; we ask the general public to continue maintaining the university as a bastion of steadfastness and resistance against any form of dictatorship and fundamentalism by accompanying and supporting the struggling and revolutionary students, and we warn against the suppression of students.
In recent days, the executioner regime has proceeded to hold hasty trials and fabricate false cases for the detainees of the recent movement. While they are deprived of the right to choose an appointed lawyer and defend themselves, and are subjected to torture beyond human endurance, a number of them are at risk of death sentences under the baseless charge of “Moharebeh” (enmity against God); among whom we can mention 19-year-old Mohammad Amin Biglari, who was sentenced to death by Judge Salavati in Branch 15 of the regime’s kangaroo court in Tehran, and 55-year-old Mohammad Abbasi, sentenced to death by the same branch. Furthermore, Abdullah Paraki, who was arrested a few days ago by the intelligence department of Mehrestan county, died suspiciously in the detention center.
Continuing these suppressions, the death sentence of Mehrab Abdullahzadeh, one of the detainees of the 1401 uprising in Urmia Prison, has been confirmed, and his life is in danger.
The despotic government of “Velayat-e Faqih” executed more than 350 people in the month of Bahman, which shows a five-fold increase in execution statistics compared to Bahman of last year. In the early days of the month of Esfand until now, 33 prisoners have also been executed.
The “No to Execution Tuesdays” campaign calls upon international and human rights communities and awakened human consciences to be the voice of the captive prisoners and the people of Iran and not allow the lives of the children of this land to be taken by criminal oppressors. We call upon the general families of the detainees to widely disseminate information regarding the condition of their imprisoned children. Raise your voices; this is the only way to confront the pressures of this dictatorial sovereignty.
The “No to Execution Tuesdays” campaign is on hunger strike on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, in its 109th week in the following 56 prisons:
