Iran: Dance instructors arrested by RGC in Semnan Province

The Commander of the Shahroud Revolutionary Guards Corps on August 9, 2017, announced the identification and arrest of members of a Zumba and Shuffle dance instructing group who made dance videos and published it on social media, according to the state-run Farda News website.

“The members of a Western dance instructors network who drew in girls and boys to Western dance moves and published their videos online especially on Telegram and Instagram were arrested while making a video”, Hamid Damghani said.
“After investigation by the RGC Intelligence Department and identifying the main location of this group, and after getting warrants from the Shahroud Prosecutor, the members of this group which included four boys and two girls were arrested in an operation while making a video together”, he added.
