Detained civil rights activist Atena Daemi, who was detained last February was illegally sent to Qarchak Prison along with political prisoner Golrokh Iraee. Daemi went on a hunger strike to protest the transfer. She is now suffering from medical ailments due to prison conditions and pressure. A neurologist has diagnosed her condition as poor but judicial officials prevent her from going on a promised furlough because she protested her condition in prison which was covered by the media.
