Verified Statistics of Killed Protesters 

Iran Human Rights Monitor (Iran HRM) has documented the following verified dimensions of the catastrophe of killings during the nationwide uprising that began on December 28, 2025.

Number of Deceased: At least 3,000 protesters have been killed by direct fire from security forces. The actual death toll is believed to be significantly higher and will be announced following further verification.

Mass Arrests: More than 50,000 individuals have been arrested across multiple cities. Many are reportedly held in secret detention facilities—such as the Soroush detention center in Mashhad—where they are subjected to torture and coercion to extract forced confessions.

Geographic Scope: The uprising has spread to more than 285 locations nationwide, demonstrating the failure of the regime’s strategy of repression, fear, and intimidation.

To date, Iran HRM has verified the identities of over 2,500 protesters killed by state forces during the recent uprising, underscoring the scale and systematic nature of the regime’s lethal crackdown. #IranMassacre
