Young Political Prisoner Beaten for Refusing to Stop Hunger Strike

Balouch political prisoner Mohammad Saber Malek Reiesi was beaten and insulted by the head of the prison Protection Department in Orumieh Prison, for writing a letter (in protest to his condition) and going on a hunger strike.

He was also tied to a light post in the middle of the prison courtyard for a few hours in the cold weather. Reiesi is on his eight day of hunger strike.

According to an informed source, one of the prison officials told Mohammad Saber to stop his hunger strike. When met with Mohammad’s defiance, he started severely beating him.
