Tehran Prosecutor Jafari Dolat Abadi said on August 28, 2017, that eight Telegram admins were tried and sentenced to six months to five years to prison, according to the state-run Tasnim news agency.
The court also sentenced the offenders to a membership ban in all political parties and groups and any kind of media activities.
