Iran: 11 Haft Tapeh Sugarcane Company workers summoned to Intelligence Agency

In the wake of the ongoing strike and protests of the workers of the Haft Tappeh Sugarcane Company, a number of workers, including Hassan Alkasir, Amir Alkasir, Majid Amiri, and eight others were summoned to the Shush Intelligence Agency via telephone on Tuesday March 6.

Earlier, Ramadan Alipour and Rahim Beshagh, labor activists and members of the Haft Tappeh Sugarcane Company Union were summoned by the 3rd Branch of the Shush Court.

The workers of the Haft Tappeh Sugarcane has held a general strike while the employer had announced the closure of the factory, but the workers unitedly gathered inside the company.

They are demanding payment of salaries for the months of January and February, benefits and rewards, the contracting of day-work workers, the payment of retirement pension quotas, and the insurance premiums of the workers to be paid by social security.
