Eleven detainees of the nationwide uprising in Dec. 2017-Jan. 2018 of Arak city’s Shazand region were put on trial on May 14, 2018 at branch 102 of Arak’s penal court.

Ali Bagheri, Abbas Safari, Behza Ali-Bakhshi, Yousef Shiri, Davood Rahimi, Mohammad Yaghoobi, Kyan Sadeghi, Masoud Aujloo, Mohammad Torabi, Neda Yousefi (fe) and Mohammad Najafi are indicted with “disruption of public order”.

Mohammad Njafi a lawyer and one of the convicts who has honorary accepted to be the lawyer of six others, said about the court session: “At this session the cases of 10 convicts were revised and the last defenses were heard. Because my lawyers didn’t know the timing of the trial, dealing with my charges; “disruption in public order and spreading lies” was postponed”.

Unofficial sources have announced that more than 8000 people have been arrested during this nationwide protest in Iran.
