Widespread arrests of activists in Khuzestan following military parade attack continue

Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence on September 22, published a video showing the detainees with blindfolds facing a wall.

Iranian authorities continue to arrest Arab activists in the cities of Ahvaz, Khoramshahr, Sosangerd, and Abadan following an attack on a military parade in late September in the southwestern city of Ahvaz, the capital of Khuzestan province.
Human Rights activists say hundreds of people have been arbitrarily detained so far despite a September 24 statement by Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence stating that only 22 people were arrested with links to the attack on the military parade. 
The Ministry also published a video showing the detainees with blindfolds facing a wall.
Reports indicate that some of the arrests incorporated whole families with even children being detained.
