The Jamaran state-run Website on March 2, 2018, qouted Mahmoud Sadeghi, a Tehran representative in the Majlis, reacting to the lawsuits filed for a number of detained university students.
“I have heard lawsuits have been filed for about 50 detained students,” Sadeghi said.
“The detained students are facing charges such as spreading propaganda against the government and acting against national security,” he added.
“The court hearing for a number of students including Leila Hosseinzadeh was held on Wednesday and the trials for other detained students will be held in upcoming weeks,” the Tehran MP said.
