A lawyer was arrested on Tuesday May 30, in southern Shiraz Province for alleged “insulting the Supreme Leader” and writing critical articles about the political mass executions in 1980s.
Danial Estakhr was summoned to a court and taken to Shiraz Prison.
Mr. Estakhr was summoned to a court on the same charges last week.
A bail of 50 million tomans (approximately $15400 USD) has been set for Mr. Estakhr, but the interrogator has refused to accept the bail and release the lawyer.
