Mehdi Bohlouli, a young prisoner arrested at the age of 17, is due to be executed soon as he was transferred to solitary confinement along with six others in Rajaie Shahr Prison of Karaj, west of Tehran.
Mehdi Bohlouli was sentenced to death by a criminal court in Tehran in November 2001.
This is not the first time he is being transferred for execution. Last time he was transferred to solitary confinement in May, 2017 in preparation for his execution which was halted and postponed for two months.
The six others identified as Shahram Abadei, Rasul Golmohammadi, Majid Agharahimi, Mostafa Pazh-shokuh, Moharram Abdi and Seyed Mohammad Seyed Abdollah.
This is not the first time that Majid Agharahimi and Seyed Mohammad Seyed Abdollah are being taken for execution. Their death sentences had been halted on previous scheduled dates before.
