Gohardasht Prison’s political prisoners wrote a letter detailing the inhumane conditions of this prison.
This letter reads in part:
“Every one of us political prisoners have been in jail for more than a year in Gohardasht Prison. We have currently even been denied breathable air. Agents have turned the political prisoners section into an iron cage… After confiscating and stealing our minimum facilities including dishes, nothing has been returned to us… A number of prisoners, have settled on the corridor floor due to lack of space and in protest to the situation… because there is no other place. Even their dishes and clothes have not been returned to them… We call on all human rights institutions to place human rights standards and minimum human rights and dignity as a condition for their relations with the government.
