Hassan Shafiei, the brother of Nematollah Shafiei, who was shot dead during protests in Qahderijan in Isfahan, said in an interview that the bullet came from behind his shoulder and penetrated his heart.
Hassan also said that a teenager was killed next to his brother.
“Both of them were shot dead and killed. He was a 13 or 14-year-old child. He was shot first and then my brother”, he said.
“I do not know the name of the child who died, but I heard that he did not have a father and lived alone with his mother and was the breadwinner of his family,” he added.
Shafi’I also shed light on a heavy security presence in his home.
“They came to our home from the Intelligence Agency and told my mom not to scream and mourn publicly… They took my brother’s birth certificate and told us to go to the Intelligence Agency in a few days to get the certificate and also said that they wanted to talk to us,” he said.
Nematollah Shafiei, 40, was a farmer from Qahderijan who died on Tuesday, January 2 during the protests in this city and was buried on Sunday, January 7.
In the past few days, many reports emerged of killing and arresting minors during nationwide protests across the country.
According to a classified report obtained from inside the regime, 35% of those recently arrested during Iran protest are students. Earlier Hossein Zolfaghari, security deputy Minister of Interior, announced that more than 90% of the detainees are juveniles and teenagers with an average age of under 25.
