Political prisoner Firooz Musa Lou, who has been imprisoned in a state of limbo for 32 months, has been sentenced to death by a verdict issued in recent days.
The Second Branch of the Revolutionary Court of Urmia has sentenced the political prisoner to death on charges of “moharebeh” through membership in a Kurdish party.
The verdict issued on Monday, March 7, 2022, was officially notified to him by the officials of Urmia Central Prison.
Firouz Musaloo, turned hiumself in to security forces at Sardasht border on July 11, 2019, after receiving a written promise from the Revolutionary Guards that he would be safe.
The Kurdish man, however, was detained for five months and 10 days in the detention center of the IRGC Intelligence in Urmia. Then on January 2, 2020, he was transferred to the Central Prison of Urmia.
Iranian security agencies have accused political prisoner Firooz Musa Lou of joining the Kurdistan Workers’ Party and participating in “an armed uprising”.
