Political prisoners in 56 different prisons across the country went on a hunger strike for the 117th consecutive week in protest against ongoing executions and systematic suppression. This widespread strike continues under circumstances where the government, in the past month, has hanged at least 12 political prisoners, including several members of this campaign and protesters of the uprisings, in absolute secrecy and without a final meeting with their families. While warning about the threat to the lives of dozens of protesters confined in solitary cells, members of this campaign called on all international bodies and human rights organizations to take immediate and practical action to stop the execution machine and save the lives of the prisoners.

Continuation of the “No to Execution Tuesdays” Campaign in its 117th Week Across 56 Different Prisons
Honoring the Memory of 12 Executed Political Prisoners
After 52 days of digital and internet blackout and isolation, which has now relatively opened up, we write this statement addressing the honorable people of Iran.
We are holding the 117th week of the “No to Execution” campaign while yesterday, the murderous government ruling Iran executed two more political prisoners, Hamed Validi and Mohammad Massoum-Shahi.
The executioner government, which is worried about the public sentiment and anger regarding these executions, is desperately trying to accuse these prisoners and other recent detainees and executed individuals of espionage and connection with Israel in order to justify its executions under wartime conditions. However, these baseless accusations against the brave men and women who have no goal other than equality, freedom, and the independence of Iran and Iranians, and who have sacrificed everything on this path, doubly arouse public hatred.
At the beginning of the (Iranian) year 1405, the “No to Execution Tuesdays” campaign also faced another crime by the executioner government, in which it lost six of its members named Vahid Bani Amerian, Pouya Ghobadi, Shahrokh (Akbar) Daneshvarkar, Babak Alipour, Mohammad Taghavi, and Abolhassan Montazer in the 115th week.
On the night of March 29 of the current year, dozens of repressive forces at Qezel آesar Prison, led by Ashkan Kamali, Hassan Ghobadi, and Ghasem Sahraei, brutally and inhumanely raided the political prisoners’ ward of Unit 4 of Qezel آesar Prison at night. With severe beatings, they removed all individuals in this ward, most of whom were members of the No to Execution campaign, from the ward and sent them to solitary confinement, and hanged six of the aforementioned individuals who had been sentenced to death by Judge Afshari. They were sent to the gallows while their judicial proceedings had not yet concluded, without a final meeting with their families, and in absolute secrecy.
Along with them, the bloodthirsty government also executed 4 political prisoners of the January 2026 uprising named Amirhossein Hatami, Mohammad Amin Biglari, Shahin Vahedparast, and Ali Fahim in secrecy and without a final visit, to show that it is the inheritor of Khomeini, who considered war a blessing and an opportunity for killing and hanging.
The government, fearful and trembling of the revolution of the Iranian people, has so far not handed over the bodies of any of these martyrs of the path of freedom and equality to their families, in order to subject the families to psychological and mental torture in this way.
The “No to Execution Tuesdays” campaign sincerely expresses its sympathy with the families of these executed prisoners. Families who never grew tired and accompanied this campaign every week in the cold and heat, shouting “No to Execution,” which is the public demand of the Iranian people.
The oppressive and desperate “Velayat-e Faqih” government sent at least 12 individuals, all of whom were political prisoners, to the gallows in the month of Farvardin (March 21- April 20), and has thus taken revenge on political prisoners.
Now that war and its calamities have cast a shadow over the atmosphere of Iran and all attention is focused on it, the illegitimate government ruling our country is carrying out systematic executions to create an atmosphere of fear and terror in society in order to prevent uprising and revolution. Today, many of the protesters of January 2026 are being held in solitary cells and the regime’s dungeons in complete secrecy. According to the news received, in Ward 35 of Unit 3 of Qezel آesar alone, dozens are confined in solitary confinement; most of these prisoners are young, and their lives are in serious danger.
The “No to Execution Tuesdays” campaign calls upon all human rights organizations and international bodies to save the lives of political prisoners under death sentences, and demands serious and practical pressure on the Iranian government.
We ask all human rights, trade union, civil, and political activists, and anyone who opposes executions, not to be intimidated in the stifling conditions where the government has taken the streets hostage and created martial law, and to protest in any way possible to confront these repressions and the long lines of execution. Undoubtedly, the future belongs to those who have paid the price of freedom.
The “No to Execution Tuesdays” campaign, while honoring the memory of these martyrs of the gallows, are on hunger strike on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, in its 117th week, in the following 56 prisons:
