Iran: 85-year-old Baha’i prisoner of conscience imprisoned again after heart surgery
Jamaluddin Khanjani, one of the leaders of the Baha’i community in Iran, was transferred to hospital after he suffered heart complications in prison. He received heart surgery in the hospital and was once again transferred to Evin Prison
It is worth noting that Mr. Khanjani, born in 1933 (85 years old), suffers from various ailments. He has been in prison since February 11, 2009, and his 10-year prison term, which he served without even a day of furlough, will end in March 22, 2018.
He was not even allowed to attend his wife’s funeral during this time.
