Political prisoner Shahla Mohammadiani went on hunger strike in the Prison of Tabriz in protest to the illegal arrest and detention of her brother.
Himan Mohammadiani, Shahla’s brother, was arrested on January 4, 2017, and there is no news available on his conditions.
Shahla Mohammadiani, 28, is a college student from Mahabad (Iranian Kurdistan). She was arrested in September 2015 on the charge of membership in a Kurdish opposition party. She has been sentenced to four years in prison and sent to internal exile in the Prison of Tabriz.
