Political prisoner Saied Shah Ghale has been held 17 years in Tehran’s Evin Prison and Mahshahr Prison, southwestern Province of Khuzistan.
He is currently in poor health and has been denied the right to a furlough from Mahshahr Prison.
Shah Ghale was arrested in 2000 and was initially sentenced to death on charges of “waging war to God” and “supporting the PMOI.” The verdict was reduced to life sentence after a few years.
