Nastaran Naeimi, the wife of prisoner of conscience Soheil Arabi was arrested in her home on July 31, 2017and transferred to an unknown location.

Soheil Arabi, was arrested in November 2013 by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in his home in Tehran, and spent two months in solitary confinement in section 2A of Evin Prison, where he was placed in solitary confinement and repeatedly interrogated.
He was later transferred to Section 350 of the Prison, which is under the control of the Judiciary. He has been tried multiple times for the articles he posted on his Facebook.
Branch 15 of Revolutionary Court sentenced him to three years behind bars on the charge of “insulting the Supreme Leader” and “spreading propaganda against the establishment.” Another court sentenced him to pay fine and 30 lashes.
Soheil Arabi was sentenced to death on 30 August 2014 for “insulting the Prophet of Islam” (Sabbo al-Nabbi) by a five-judge panel of Branch 76 of the Criminal Court of Tehran. The ruling was later commuted to 90 months behind bars. He is also going to be under probation to prove his sincerity of his repentance.
