Labor activist Reza Shahabi, who is detained in Gohardasht Prison of Karaj, is being deprived of medical treatment despite his deteriorating health condition. He ended his 50-day hunger strike on September 27 after a promise from authorities to meet his demands.
According to his family who visited him in prison, he is suffering from severe heartburn, numbness in the left side of his body and legs, and swelling and bruising of his body.
