The condition of political prisoners in Rajaii Shahr Prison in Karaj has not improved since their transfer to a new section four months ago. Authorities have also brought new charges against some of these political prisoners to put more pressure on them.
New lawsuits were filed against eight political prisoners after they protested the change of their hall. These prisoners have been identified as Saied Masouri, Reza Akbari Monfared, Saied Shirzad, Hassan Sadeghi, Amir Ghaziani, Jafar Eghdami, Abolghasem Fouladvand and Ibrahim Firouzi, who in the new case, have been charged with “insulting the leader”, “chanting slogans against government officials” and “disturbing prison order.”
