Based on the data compiled by the Iran Human Rights Monitor, at least 11 Baluch prisoners have been executed on drug-related charges within the past 72 hours in Zahedan and Zabol prisons without informing their families.
On the morning of August 1, 2023, the death sentences of at least three Baluch prisoners were carried out in Zahedan prison for drug-related charges. At least another eight Baluch citizens were executed on July 30 and 31, 2023, in Zahedan and Zabol prisons on drug charges.
After the subsiding of protests, especially in Zahedan, the Iranian regime is taking revenge on Baluch citizens by executing them without allowing their families to have a last meeting or even without informing them.
The identities of these Baluch prisoners are as follows:
- Baidullah Gorgij, 43 years old, son of Agha Mohammad, married with two children, and resident of Manzel Ab in Zahedan, was executed on July 30 in Zahedan prison.
- Shahsavar Shahriari (Palangi), 53 years old, son of Shahel, married with five children, resident of Dehneh Abbas Ali in the Rigan County in Kerman province, was executed on July 30 in Zahedan prison.
- Mohammad Arabab, 30 years old, married with one daughter, and resident of Nīmrūz, Afghanistan, was executed on July 30 in Zabol prison.
- Asadullah Amini, 32 years old, married with children, a Baluch resident of Nimruz, Afghanistan, was executed on July 31 in Zabol prison.
- Saeed Barahouii (also known as Aref), 38 years old, son of Habibullah, married with three children, and resident of Zabol, was executed on July 31 in Zahedan prison.
- Ali Barahouii (also known as Khan Mohammad), 39 years old, son of Rostam, married with several children, and resident of Zabol, was executed on July 31 in Zahedan prison.
- Khodarahm Mohammadani (also known as Latif), 55 years old, son of Baharkhan, married with three children, and resident of Khomeini Street in Zahedan, was executed on July 31 in Zahedan prison.
- Farhad Badrozeh (Narouii), son of Khasti, married with two daughters, and resident of Zahak village in the Jazink district of Zahak county, was executed on July 31 in Birjand prison.
- Youssef Kolbali, 30 years old, son of Nurahmad, married with three children, and resident of Dehdaraz in the Zahak county, was executed on August 1 in Zahedan prison.
- Hossein Gomshadzehi, 72 years old, son of Dara, married with a wife and several children, and resident of Zahedan and Zabol, was executed on August 1 in Zahedan prison.
- The identity of another Baluch prisoner executed today in Zahedan prison is unknown.
Notably, from April 29, 2023, to August 1, 2023, at least 71 Baluch prisoners, including four women, have been executed in 14 prisons across the country on drug-related charges. From August 20, 2022, to August 1, 2023, at least 172 Baluch citizens have been executed in various prisons nationwide on various charges. This data is based on the execution victims, whose identities have been verified.
