Execution, Torture, and Oblivion
Introduction
Amid the haze of discrimination and the darkness of censorship, statistics sometimes speak louder than any cry. What is happening to the Baluch people in Sistan and Baluchistan Province can no longer be confined to oral narratives or scattered reports. This document is not merely a collection of names and dates but a living testament to the systematic pattern of repression, execution, injustice, and physical elimination of an ethnic group.
Executions carried out without trials, without transparency, and often without the right to defense; detentions that engulf children, men, and women; and deaths caused not by bullets but by torture, disease, and neglect in cells—these are the realities faced by the Baluch. This statistical report, representing only a fraction of the accessible information, compels the world to confront a truth that has been denied for years.
Registered Executions: Physical Elimination as a State Strategy
The execution of Baluch individuals is not a product of judicial process but a tool for intimidation and political and religious control in a suppressed region. Most of these executions are tied to drug-related charges, yet no transparent or impartial mechanism exists to substantiate or allow defense against these accusations. Youthful age, lack of independent legal representation, denial of contact, and pressure on families are recurring elements in this human tragedy. The table below illustrates only a portion of these silent atrocities.

Mass and Collective Detentions: A Policy of Intimidation Through Imprisonment
Detentions in Baluchistan are not based on crimes but on identity, beliefs, and protests. In many cases, individuals are unaware of the charges against them, children are among the detainees, and families remain uninformed about the fate of their loved ones. The table below provides a vivid picture of the wave of mass detentions in recent years, illustrating how the political system resorts to a blind and boundless tool to silence an ethnic group.

Death in Prison: From Torture to Deliberate Denial of Treatment
Deaths in Iranian prisons are often gradual. Lack of medical care, abandonment of patients in cells, beatings, continuous torture, and failure to transfer to medical facilities claim lives in silence. Many victims were not sentenced to death, yet the prison system has driven them to their demise. The table below briefly outlines these preventable, silent deaths.

Recent Executions of Baluch Prisoners
Executions in Sistan and Baluchistan have taken on an organized and horrific form, often conducted in secret, without family notification, and based on confessions extracted under torture. Victims include young individuals with no criminal history, religious activists, and citizens convicted in unfair trials on drug-related or political charges. In many cases, families only encounter their loved ones’ bodies, without explanation, information on the judicial process, or permission for farewell.
The table below lists documented executions of Baluch prisoners from late 2023 to spring 2024.

Conclusion and Call to Action
Execution, detention, and death in prison—this dark triad is not an exception but a systematic pattern of repression and denial of human rights for the Baluch people. Each name in these tables is evidence of an unanswered crime, and each number represents a human who could still be alive.
With a united voice and based on documented evidence, we issue this call to the United Nations, the UN Human Rights Council, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Amnesty International, and other global human rights organizations:
- We demand an immediate halt to extrajudicial and hasty executions in Sistan and Baluchistan Province.
- We call for immediate and unconditional access for international monitors to the province’s prisons and the formation of a fact-finding committee to investigate torture, suspicious deaths, and arbitrary detentions.
- We demand judicial accountability for authorities who have directly contributed to these crimes through death sentences and torture.
- We urge that the cries of grieving Baluch families be reflected in your official reports and statements, ending the global silence.
In the face of crimes documented in numbers and tables, there is no room for hesitation or delay. This is the voice of people perishing in the shadow of censorship and discrimination. Today, the global conscience must decide: stand with the oppressed or witness the escalation of a crime already recorded.
