In continuation of the growing wave of executions in Iran, at dawn on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at least 11 prisoners were executed in the prisons of Bandar Abbas, Iranshahr, Kerman, Beyram, and Arak.

Collective Execution of Six Afghan Nationals in Bandar Abbas Prison

Six Afghan prisoners were executed in Bandar Abbas Prison. The identities of three of them have so far been confirmed:

  • Allah Nazar Tajik, approximately 30 years old, married, father of one child, originally from Farah Province, residing in Nimroz Province
  • Abdulraouf Noorzehi, 50 years old, son of Wazir Khan, married, father of six children, from Nimroz Province
  • Abdulrahman Es-haqzehi, 50 years old, son of Yar Mohammad, married, father of seven children, from Farah Province

These prisoners had been arrested in separate cases two to three years ago on drug-related charges and sentenced to death. According to reports, they were executed without prior notice to their families and without the right to a final family visit. The identities of the three other executed prisoners are still under investigation.

Other Executions in Different Prisons

  • Majid Pour-Eshaq, from Bandar Abbas, was executed in Bandar Abbas Prison on charges of murder.
  • Milad Narouyi, 29, from Zahedan, was executed in Kerman Prison on drug-related charges. His family reported that his death sentence had previously been overturned, making the execution unexpected.
  • Hafiz Siahkhani, 38, from the village of Shahdraz (Iranshahr), was executed in Iranshahr Prison after 14 years of imprisonment on a murder charge. He was executed without his family being informed and without a final visit.
  • Sajjad Molaei Hakkani was executed in public in Beyram, a district of Laristan, on charges of murder.
  • Behzad Zeinali was executed in Arak Prison on charges of murder.

These recent executions come amid reports of a dramatic rise in executions across Iran in recent months.
