Iran: Latest report on the condition of hunger striking Christian prisoner of conscience

July 25, 2017
christian prisoner Amin Afshar Naderi
FacebookTwitterEmail

Christian prisoner, Amin Afshar Naderi, has gone on hunger strike since July 5, protesting the authorities frequently violating the law, issuing unfair sentences and denying political prisoners to visit foreign ambassadors on their guided tour of the Evin Prison.
Prison officials however are refusing to reply his legitimate demands.
Amin Afshar Naderi is now suffering from drop in blood pressure on his 19th day of hunger strike and lost eight kilograms of his weight to this day.
the prisoner of conscience has announced that he will not end his hunger strike until a fair trial is conducted and an action is taken to reduce the amount of bail set for his temporary release.
Branch 26 of the Iranian Regime’s Revolutionary Court issued a sentence of 15 years’ imprisonment for Amin Afshar Naderi last week. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison on charges of “acting against national security through the formation of a house church,” and 5 years in prison on charges of “blasphemy” and also barred for two years from leaving the country. The court was held on Saturday, April 8, 2017, but the verdict was delivered to Mr. Naderi verbally in the past days.
