The Canadian Foreign Ministry released a statement on December 30, supporting the Iranian people as massive protests erupting across the country. In its statement entitled as “Canada closely monitoring ongoing protests in Iran” Canadian Foreign Ministry says: “We call on the Iranian authorities to uphold and respect democratic and human rights.” It further adds: “Canada will continue to support the fundamental rights of Iranians, including the right to freedom of expression.”
