Kurd political prisoner Changiz Qadam Kheiri who has been transferred to serve his time in Masjed Suleiman Prison still has shrapnel in his body after five years of prison. He was wounded when initially arrested.
Despite his poor physical condition and confirmation from doctors on the necessity of surgery, he is still prevented from getting medical attention and a medical leave.
Changiz who was born in 1988 was arrested in 2011 and was taken to the Central Sanandaj Prison. (Human Rights Activists in Iran – Jun. 7, 2017)
