Two Revolutionary Court judges extort protesters arrested during Iran protests in November to set them Free. The two Revolutionary Court judges are Moghisseh and Amouzad.
At their court hearings, the two Revolutionary Court judges tell the jailed protesters to pay them between 100 to 150 million tomans in bribes to win their freedom, otherwise they would be sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Siamak Momeni, 18, was among those arrested during Iran protests in November. He committed suicide on January 25, in the Greater Tehran Penitentiary.
A reliable source said Judge Amouzad had told Siamak Momeni at court, that he must pay a heavy amount of money to gain his freedom. Siamak had responded, “I’m just a delivery man and don’t have such a big money.” Then the judge told him, “So, you will be sentenced to 10 years and you’ll remain in jail until your hair becomes the color of your teeth.”
Siamak Momeni replies, “I am my family’s breadwinner and earn their living by my motorbike. If I stay in prison for ten years, how am I going to pay for the expenses of my family?”
On Saturday, January 25, 2020, Siamak Momeni cut his wrist upon learning of his 10-year verdict. He was transferred to the dispensary. The news on his death has not been confirmed, yet.
Siamak Momeni was arrested in Parand during the November protests against fuel price hike. After his interrogations at the detention center of the IRGC Sarallah garrison were finished, he was transferred to the general ward of the Greater Tehran Penitentiary.
In the Inspector’s Court of Parand, he learned of these charges. Then his file was sent to the Branch 24 of Tehran’s Revolutionary Court. Judge Amouzad sentenced him to 10 years in prison for “collusion and association, propaganda against the state, insulting the leader and the president.”
The Iranian regime brutally cracked down on nationwide protests that erupted on November 16 after the regime tripled the price of gasoline. At least 1,500 protesters were killed, around 4,000 were wounded and injured and 12,000 were detained.
