Political prisoner Hossein Ghashghaeii who has come out of the Greater Tehran Penitentiary for a brief leave has exposed the corruption prevailing in that prison.
Hossein Ghashghaeii posted a thread of tweets in which he divulged a corrupt ward director in the Greater Tehran Penitentiary who sexually assaults inmates in his ward.
Political prisoner Hossein Ghashghaeii is sentenced to two years in prison for his activities in the social media. He reported in to prison on April 3, 2021.
After he made this revelation, the authorities of the Greater Tehran Penitentiary have ordered him to go back to prison before the end of his furlough on August 22, 2021.
Following is a translation of what Political prisoner Hossein Ghashghaii tweeted:
It was a few days I wanted to post a threat of tweets. I know when my leave is over and I return to prison, this will create problems for me. This issue, however, has brought such tremendous pressure on me that I do not care any more! I want to speak about one of the ward directors in the Greater Tehran Penitentiary where political prisoners are detained.
The person is Payman Samadi. He says his father is a member of the State Expediency Council, and the manager of the IRGC’s Ansar Vehicles. Payman Samadi is in jail for embezzlement. However, for people such as him, prison does not mean anything. They have money and they have everything. They spent some time in jail and accomplish their mission.
The issue about (Payman Samadi) was once publicized. But I think we should speak more about people like Payman Samadi so that their name and details are registered and so that they are exposed and disgraced before the public. So that they would not be able to stand up on their feet again…
Samadi appears to be very religious. He looks like members of the Revolutionary Guard Corps. He has covered the walls of his hall with the pictures of Ali Khamenei and Qassem Soleimani. He claims that he is in contact with the intelligence and security department of the prison. He has caused problems for many of the inmates by reporting their activities to the security department.
It is enough for a few of the inmates to gather together in a corner of the hall or in the yard. He reports them to the security. Another thing he does is giving fake news to the inmates to bring psychological pressure on them.
Sometime ago, he made up a false story. He said the Intelligence Ministry had given him the names of those inmates who receive donations, and told him to make them sign a commitment otherwise their subsidies would be cut off. In this way, he harassed those inmates who are in need of financial help, forcing them to stop receiving subsidies. But all this story was fake.
All the letters that prisoners write are first audited by the ward’s director, including the requests for conditional release, leave, or any form of request. If the letter is written by political prisoners, he keeps their letter for some time, prolonging the processing of their request, which in turn put psychological pressure on them.
Payman Samadi created a poisonous atmosphere in the hall. Everyone thinks he recruits spies from among the inmates. So, inmates do not trust each other. Sometimes, he incites physical clashes among inmates. In a word, he is in charge of tormenting the prisoners.
All of what I said above, however, are nothing compared to what I want to say now.
This filthy creature who pretends to follow God and the Prophet, sexually assaults some of the inmates who are physically small, or have financial needs, or need help to be released from prison.
He has covered the closed circuit cameras in the ward to be able to do his work.
One of the inmates who resisted his assault and did not allow him once sent this information to the press. He repeatedly reported to the prison authorities. But Payman Samadi remains in his post.
