October 28, 2023
FacebookTwitterEmail

On Saturday, October 28, 2023, Armita Gravand, a 17-year-old student who had been in a coma since 28 days ago due to the assault by Hijab patrols in Tehran’s metro, passed away at Fajr Hospital of the Tehran Air Force.

According to the reports received by Iran Human Rights Monitor (IranHRM), Armita Gravand was born on April 2, 2006, in Kermanshah and lived in Tehran. On October 1, 2023, she was subjected to assault by Hijab patrols solely because she was not wearing a headscarf, which led to her falling into a coma.

This is despite the fact that Artmita was in perfect physical and mental health. She was an athlete and excelled in the field of Taekwondo, achieving a third-degree black belt. She was a member of one of the martial arts teams in Tehran. Armita was also passionate about painting and actively engaged in this field.
