The State Security Forces opened fire on a group of porters in Baneh, killing one and leaving two injured. The victim was identified as Ebrahim Mahmudi.
Another porter was shot wounded on July 27 in Sardasht border area in west Azerbaijan Province, northwest of Iran.
On July 25, a Kurd porter died after being shot at directly by security forces. He was identified as Karim Mohammad Aminzadeh. An informed source said that he was shot at without prior warning.
