Molud Esmaeilpour, father of a Kurdish activist, was arrested when Iran’s intelligence agents raided his home on Monday. He was then transferred to an unknown location.
Esmaeilpour’s son, Mohammad, is wanted by the security forces for “cooperating with Kurdish opposition parties against the Islamic republic” and “measures threatening national security”.
Human rights activists in Sardasht, west of Iran, are concerned over Esmaeilpour’s health conditions due to his old age.
