Iran: Baha’i woman arrested

Lisa Tebianian, a member of Iran’s Baha’i community, was arrested in a raid on her house.

Security agents inspected and confiscated her personal property. No information is available about her whereabouts, according to a source.

Prior to this her husband’s shop was sealed. Her daughters by the names of Ahdieh Enayati and Sahba Moslehi, along with her sons-in-law, were all recently arrested on false charges related to their religious beliefs.

Hundreds of Baha’is have been executed since the founding of the Islamic republic and hundreds more were tortured or imprisoned, while tens of thousands have lost their jobs, access to education, and other rights due to their religious believes.
